Eucalyptus (nilgiri) owes its pest-repelling power to a natural compound called cineole (eucalyptol). Its strong, clean aroma is pleasant to people but naturally deters insects, so the tablets protect your space while leaving it smelling fresh. Because there is no poison, they are easy to live with around the kitchen and living areas.
